Since 1 June 2022, refugees from Ukraine in need of help have been able to receive benefits under SGB II.
The Kommunales Jobcenter Lahn-Dill advises and supports you in securing your livelihood.
To ensure and facilitate integration, we support you in finding a job or training, in qualifying or if you want to learn german.

Step 1: Register at the Einwohnermeldeamt (Residents' Registration Office) in the City where you currently live.
Schritt 1: Melden Sie sich beim Einwohnermeldeamt der Gemeinde oder Stadt an, in deren Gebiet Sie aktuell leben.
Step 2: Apply for a residence permit at the responsible immigration office.
Schritt 2: Beantragen Sie einen Aufenthaltstitel bei der zuständigen Ausländerbehörde.

Step 3:
Schritt 3: Beantragung der Leistung
Since 01.06.2022, the Jobcenter Lahn-Dill is responsible for your cash benefits.
The prerequisite for this is a residence permit (see step 2).
Please let us know by e-mail (info(at)jobcenter-lahn-dill.de) or in person that you would like to submit an application. If you have sufficient German language skills, please also by phone (06441/2107-0).
For linguistic reasons, we will usually not be able to answer your request directly. We will therefore clarify the relevant steps in an initial consultation with you.
However, to prepare, we need some personal data. You will therefore receive a questionnaire, which you should fill out and return to us.
Please make sure to fill out the questionnaire in Latin letters and as completely as possible. This is the only way we can prepare the appointment for you. This also includes booking an interpreter for the correct language if you do not know anyone who can translate the conversation into German for you.
After we have scanned the questionnaire, you will receive the original back from us. If an appointment is entered, we were able to offer you a short-term appointment. If no appointment was entered, you will receive the appointment shortly by mail.
You are also welcome to apply for benefits online.

If the title cannot be issued directly, please submit an application for "Asylbewerberleistungen (asylum seeker benefits)" to the " Fachdienst Zuwanderung und Integration (Karl-Kellner-Ring 51, 35576 Wetzlar, 06441 407-1464 integration(at)lahn-dill-kreis.de)". You can see what you have to do on the homepage.
In this case you don't have to do anything.
The Lahn-Dill-Kreis automatically transmits the data to us. After the data has been received, you will be recorded in our database and will receive notification of your cash benefits. If we need anything else from you, we will contact you.
If you would like an appointment after the first payment has been received, please let us know in writing. Please also indicate which languages you speak and whether you can bring your own interpreter to the appointment.

If the move is planned for the period from June 1st, 2022, have your new landlord fill out the "Wohnungsbeschreibung (Apartment Description)" form and send the documents back to us.
We check the cost of the apartment and inform you of the result in writing.
Please do not sign the rental agreement before the check is complete and you know what costs can be considered by us.

If you have not yet applied to the Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BAMF), please inform your responsible contact person in the Jobcenter. It can grant you permission.
Sie möchten an einem Deutsch-Integrationskurs teilnehmen? Wenn Sie noch keinen Antrag beim Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BAMF) gestellt haben, teilen Sie dies Ihrer zuständigen Ansprechperson im Jobcenter mit. Sie kann Ihnen die Teilnahme ermöglichen.
Residence permits for Ukrainian refugees that are still valid remain valid. Holders of the permits are spared the need to apply for an extension and the associated appointments with the immigration authorities.
Ukraine residence permit extended until 2025
Under the Ukraine Residence Permit Continued Validity Ordinance, residence permits for temporary protection that are still valid as of 1 February 2024 will be automatically extended until 4 March 2025. These were and are granted in accordance with Section 24 (1) of the Residence Act for foreigners who have travelled to Germany due to the war in Ukraine. Refugees do not need to visit the relevant foreigners authority for an extension.
Aufenthaltstitel von Geflüchteten aus der Ukraine, die am 01. Februar 2024 noch gültig sind, werden bis zum 4. März 2025 verlängert.
Ebenfalls die Auflagen und Nebenbestimmungen (z. B. Wohnsitzauflage) gelten bis zum 04. März 2025 fort. Dies hat das Bundesministerium des Innern und für Heimat (BMI) durch Rechtsverordnung festgelegt in § 24 Absatz 1 des Aufenthaltsgesetzes.
Die Betroffenen müssen keinen Antrag auf Verlängerung stellen. Sie erhalten auch keinen schriftlichen Nachweis darüber.
